CHRISTIE BRINKLEY'S HUSBAND BREAKS DOWN ON STAND _ According to TMZ.com, Christie Brinkley's estranged husband Peter Cook, who broke down crying after getting grilled on the stand Wednesday by the supermodel's lawyer, admitted he did things in front of a web cam and frequented escort, porn and swinger sites, all while married to Brinkley. He also admitted that he had sex with then-teenager Diana Bianchi in his office while she worked for him. He testified he gave Bianchi nearly $300,000 hoping to keep their tryst quiet.

ANGELINA JOLIE'S DOCTOR TALKS _ Are the Brangelina twins boys or girls? Will they be delivered naturally or by Cesarean? Angelina Jolie's obstetrician, Michel Sussmann, declined to answer several burning questions about the highly anticipated birth to Hollywood's hottest couple, but he did make one thing clear during a five-minute news conference Wednesday: "She is a patient like any other. And she's very simple. I have a lot of respect for her." He also added that her check-in at a France hospital was "not an emergency situation. Her hospitalization at this stage in her pregnancy is totally normal for a patient who had a Cesarean during her first pregnancy." Her stay at the seaside hospital could be a relatively long one. The doctor said she would remain in the hospital until the babies are delivered and that could be "in the weeks to come."

THE NEXT BATMAN MOVIE WON'T HAVE A ROBIN _ Several weeks ago, rumors circled offline once again that Robin would appear in the sequel to The Dark Knight. But according to StarPulse, Christian Bale won't stand for it: "If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I’ll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work." Oh, and while some fans will be giddy after hearing the words "one of the new Batman films," the director says he's only banging out a trilogy. That means just one more after The Dark Knight. Unless, of course, a big studio comes calling with a Batmobile load of cash.

WILL FERRELL IN SHERLOCK HOLMES MOVIE _ Sacha Baron Cohen will play Holmes, and Will Ferrell, Watson, in a comedic take on Sherlock Holmes. No director is attached, and the flick, which see the two comedic stars re-teaming for the second time after their smash, Talladega Nights, is untitled at this time. However, it will be produced by Judd Apatow.

A BIG-SCREEN FRIENDS _ A number of sources -- mostly British and mostly tabloidish -- say a film version of the hit TV series Friends is a go. "Insiders" say all six of the main cast -- Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer -- will reprise their roles for a big-screen adaptation. The sources say the actors decided to pull the trigger after seeing the success of Sex and the City on the big screen. We'll see.

HEALTH TIP OF THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

FIREWORKS... FUN UNTIL THEY BLOW YOUR HAND OFF
 

Everyone likes to light a firecracker on the Fourth of July. Of course something this fun always have "rules to follow". Geez. Ok then; just so everyone's on the same page, here are a few rules to follow this weekend from the National Council on Fireworks Safety site.

 

1. USE FIREWORKS OUTDOORS ONLY.
2. OBEY LOCAL LAWS
3. ALWAYS HAVE WATER HANDY (A HOSE OR BUCKETS OF WATER)
4. ONLY USE FIREWORKS AS INTENDED. DON’T TRY TO ALTER THEM OR COMBINE THEM.
5. NEVER RE-LIGHT A “DUD” FIREWORK (WAIT 20 MINUTES AND THEN SOAK IT IN A BUCKET OF WATER)
6. USE COMMON SENSE WHEN USING FIREWORKS. SPECTATORS SHOULD KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE FROM THE SHOOTER
7. ALCOHOL AND FIREWORKS DO NOT MIX. HAVE A “DESIGNATED “SHOOTER
8. ONLY PERSON OVER AGE 12 SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO HANDLE SPARKLERS OF ANY TYPE.
9. DO NOT EVER USE HOMEMADE FIREWORKS
